The only things to do in Salt Lake City are to see fireworks on the 4th of July and float in the Great Salt Lake, and the people who live here are incredibly creepy and should not be trusted within a 50 foot radius of your children. Oh, and there are some mountains somewhere around here, too.
If the only source of information about Salt Lake City I had was the Facebook page for the Salt Lake City Bucket List, that would pretty much sum up my views of the city. Thankfully, it does not seem to be anyone's source of information about Salt Lake, since it does not come up on the search function unless you are searching for that very specific page (even though everyone with an internet connection could technically access the information). Although the idea seems as though it would have potential, the page is not at all well-maintained. The last update was from July, and although some of the comments were incredibly disturbing, there did not seem to be a webmaster who cared. The pictures that were posted were beautiful, but there was no description of where they were taken or how to get there. Most of the user-generated posts were spam that you had to wade through in order to see the rest of the site, which wasn't really worth seeing. If you were planning your vacation around the suggestions on this site, you would probably get discouraged and decide to go somewhere interesting instead, like the exact middle of a Nebraska cornfield. As a source of ideas for what residents of the city could do, the term "epic fail" has never been more appropriate.
