Group 6 - Capitol Building individual blog
Our group went to the Utah state capitol building and i was very excited to go because it was such a beautiful day to be on top of the hill and view the beautiful valley.
Obviously political people were at the capitol building and they were working doing whatever they do. (passing bills, petitioning, arguing, etc.) This place established order and democracy with they way the building is structured and how the people went about inside of it. Everyone in the building was dressed respectively and was aware of their surroundings.
The building was elegant and beautiful and made of white stone. it had massive dome shaped ceilings and they were painted with stories of historical Utah and how Utah became a state. There were many tourists there that spoke different languages exploring the capitol and there was also a cup scout group that was touring the building as well. The building was exceptionally clean and conveyed the message of respect. The atmosphere was very professional because that is what people do when they are at a capitol.
The building made one feel patriotic towards the state and the country because it made one respect what government does for people and that is to establish a country that is enjoyable and free.
